Junior Back to School Camp: Aug 25 - 29

Welcome to the Back to School Camp at Skill Samurai! As the new school year approaches, our camp is designed to give students a head start. This program is perfect for children aged 7-9 who are eager to dive into the world of game design while also getting ready to return to the classroom.

In our Back to School Camp, we introduce campers to three dynamic platforms: Scratch, MCreator, and Roblox Studio. While they can explore all these platforms, they also have the option to focus on the ones that interest them the most. This personalized approach ensures each child remains engaged and enthusiastic throughout the week.

Our structured daily schedule mirrors a typical school day, offering a blend of focused learning and fun activities. Game-building sessions last about an hour, followed by off-screen breaks to enjoy the outdoors (weather permitting) or play games indoors. This balance helps maintain a productive and enjoyable environment, reinforcing the importance of both study and play.

Beyond just creating games, campers will develop valuable skills such as attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking—skills that will help them hit the ground running when they return to school. These experiences will not only boost their creativity but also prepare them for academic success and the challenges of the new school year.

On Friday, we invite parents to our special Back to School Showcase event, where campers proudly present their projects. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to share their hard work and progress, giving them the confidence to excel in the upcoming school year.
